In all seriousness, usually the complicated stuff breaks faster/easier. We have the same washer/dryer we bought on craigslist for like $50 total when I started college and they still work great. Not the most energy efficient but still vs the price of new ones and repairs I'm sure it's more cost effective. My wife always day dreams around the appliance section at lowes/home depot...
