you need at least a 2" lift to fit 35" tire. if you plan of taking it off road you may want at least 4" lift or you end up having tires come in contact with the wheel wells. it is probably also not a wise idea to be running 35" tires with the stock gears. most trucks came from the factory with 3.55 gears which is ok for turning the stock 31's but with 35's and stock gears will put a lot of stress on things and you may end up breaking things like drive shafts or axles.

on another note did you use to own a 91 Dakota - 3.9 - 5 speed - 2 wheel drive and 81 Dodge power Ram - 360- Four on the floor?
