Speaking of mileage, I did about a 2200 mile round trip to Georgia and got almost 18 MPG on the way down...and 15 MPG on the way back. I thought my foot was a little heavier on the way back but jeesh! 3 MPG loss?! If I can manage a solid 8-9 MPG with that trailer I'll be psyched. I know the key is keeping the speed down, and you really can't be in a rush to drive 2600 miles!
I have towed my TT over 25000 miles with my half ton and averaged 9.3MPG. Make sure to use tow/haul to save your trans.
Are you sure your bed extender will clear the trailer hitch in tight turns? I dont have that much clearance.
