Congratulations to our March Winner!!
And now a word from your winner.....
Thanks for voting for and/or nominating me. My name is Bill. I live in the northwest corner of Louisiana in Bossier City with my wife, Terrie, son Mitch, our two dogs, bird, and 7 seven fish tanks. I work as a locomotive engineer for the smallest of the class I (I.e. the big ones) railroads. It sounds pretty cool until you take into account that Iím gone from home 3-5 days a week, Iím on call 24/7 meaning I can never plan anything, and itís loud, often stinky, and never comfortable. It does allow me to pay for my toys though. I worked as an electrician for several years before I started ďplaying choo choo,Ē and spent a few years in the U.S. Coast Guard. My biggest claim to fame is that I served aboard the cutter that picked up the Air National Guard helicopter crew from the October 1991 ďPerfect StormĒ USCGC Tamaroa.
Iím an avid reader (it helps me hold on to what little sanity I have left while at work). Iíve been known to read 3-5 books per week. I enjoy playing video games (mostly racing games on PS3). I also earned my black belt in Tang Soo Do last year after a 6 year struggle (not home often enough to train properly). Iím also the Secretary Treasurer of my union (BLET Division 599).
Iíve always thought of myself as someone who didnít care what the name on the hood of the vehicle was. Then I bought my í08 QC and I havenít looked back. I guess that Iíve been converted to a Dodge man...err I guess I should say Ram. LOL. Iíve since upgraded to a í10 CC Sport and I love it. Iíll typically find a new vehicle every 3 years or so, but Iím going to keep my current Ram for a while. I might upgrade to the diesel 1500 come 2015, time will tell.
Some of my current mods include a custom shift knob, Ram eyes, tint, LED tailgate bar, nerf bars, mud flaps, and a tonneau cover. My future mods (eventually) include new wheels, color match the grey parts of the interior, and probably a new stereo system that includes a rear view camera.
