Have you talked to Stu about the cam or are you just picking one based on what their website says? If you haven't, talk to Stu about what your end goals are and he could even do a custom grind that would suit you best, he did that for my '07 and I was quite happy with the results.

There's no difference in the cores of the two cams, the 6.1L can be swapped into the 5.7L with no major modifications, but it's recommended to upgrade your valve springs because of the high lift of the 6.1L cam. What makes them different is the pushrod length required based on the head used and the stock lift/cam profile. If you use a 6.1L-based cam then you'll need a different length of pushrod compared to a 5.7L based cam.
