Default Radiator Leak and Coolant Loss

I recently discovered that my engine in my 2007 Ram (5.7L Hemi) was steaming from coolant spraying all over the place. Luckily I had not lost so much at that point that my engine was overheating. I located the leak at the very top of radiator core (hairline crack spurting coolant out of a needle size hole).

I've ordered a OE replacement and it should be in within a few days. The replacement seems fairly straight forward as I've done it in previous vehicles and I've read and watched a few videos for replacing a radiator in a Ram.

One thing I noticed was that the fluid seemed to be red in color and I thought this to be odd. I didn't notice my transmission acting up but I believe that transmission radiator coolant is red in color. Is that correct? Is there another leak somewhere I need to be looking for when I get back under the hood? Do I have a bigger problem than a leaking radiator?

Thanks in advance for any help!
