It's not a big job at all. Drop shackles will do the trick. McGaughy's seem to be about the best out there right now. They use OEM rubber bushings so hopefully they won't squeak. Stay away from shackles that use polyurethane bushings. I had always thought poly was supposed to be good stuff for bushings but there are numerous posts online of shackles with poly bushings squeaking horribly....so much that some owners removed them. I put the McGaughy's on my 2004 QC 4x4 nearly two months ago and love them. I greased them heavily with lithium grease just in case. No squeaks yet. I did it in my driveway with a floor jack, jack stands, and hand tools. You will need a large socket or wrench....can't remember, I think it's a 21mm maybe?? You will also need a T55 Torx socket. It really isn't difficult but it would be even easier with a lift and some air tools. Here's the ones I bought. This guy had them in stock for about the cheapest I could find at the time. He shipped quick too.
Also, it isn't really a how-to but here's a thread I posted when I did mine.
Let me know if you have any questions. I'm very happy with mine.
