Both of those parts need to be replaced. There's no but or explanation really. The P1683 its an internal PCM failure so what you wanna do before you replace anything is Disconnect your battery positive and negative wait then minutes and with everything disconnect turn your key to the on position for about a minute then back off and reconnect the battery and take a ride for at least 20 mins to let the pcm relearn and see if the problem continues with the pcm. If the problem continue start looking into getting a new pcm or used depending on your budget. hope it helps
