I would suggest having one outlet on its own dedicated breaker reserved for a single high current application. Since I have an Volt, I installed one to be able to recharge the car at night. Since I doubt an electric car is on your radar, the outlet would still be of service for a large air compressor. On that subject, plumbing the whole garage for pneumatic tools is one of my wants. I'd do this to your garage as part of its build.
