But another update:

If you get the upper and lower control arms, spindle, brake calipers and brackets, rotors, and brake hoses, this will all swap right over.

This will give you the newer style dual piston calipers, bolt in ball joints (versus older press in style), replaceable bolt on wheel hub (that doesn't stick out so you can run the 3rd gen 20s without having a hub fitment issue).

So thats the word. It works...just need control arm to control arm and everything in between. We got the whole shebang for $80 from the junkyard. Truck happened to have new ball joints.
