Default Mopar Tri-fold Tonneau Cover - Vinyl or Premium Fabric?

I recently bought a 2013 1500 cc and negotiated a tonneau cover in the purchase. The dealer just installed the Mopar premium fabric tri-fold but I'm concerned I should go with the vinyl. The parts manager told me the fabric is more durable and the preferred cover and that it wouldn't make sense to swap them. She also said its made of the same material used for the Jeep soft covers. I have winters in my area and was thinking the vinyl would be more durable and more water repellent when snow started to pile up. Also, there's a bit of a flapping sound with the fabric - thought that might be less with the vinyl.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?
