Default No mess oil filter removal - reps for Oldhp

I remember reading this tip a while back by Oldhp and finally decided to try it for my oil change tonight. I trimmed a plastic ice cream container enough so I could get it under the oil filter reaching in from the front. I then loosened the oil filter and let it drop inside then pulled the container out from the front. Aside from a little splashed oil from the filter dropping it was mess free.

Rep points for you Sir as soon as you post to this thread. Thank you.

As a silly side note, I used Royal Purple oil for the first time and found out why it's called Royal "Purple". The oil is purple
