With the new truck will this mean someone could just get in the truck and drive off even if I lock it with my key? Will she have to bring her keys with her for now on?
I did the exact same thing with my wife's purse with my Chrysler 300C as PentaRam did with his Charger. It looks like the RAM is smarter, tho!
According to the owners manual at page 41, "If one of the vehicle’s Passive Entry RKE transmitters is detected inside the vehicle, and no other valid Passive Entry RKE transmitters are detected outside the vehicle, the Passive Entry System automatically unlocks all vehicle doors and chirps the horn three times." I tested this theory putting my wife's fob inside & locking the door with the button on the handle & my fob in my pocket. It worked just fine - locked the wife's fob inside no problem.
