The one ton (95 if that's the one you're working on, this is the 1st gen section) should be held in with 4 bolts:



Remove the cotter pin and axle nut (1 1/6 nut I think or like 34mm)

Jack the truck up and take off the tire and caliper.

Remove the 4 bolts from the back of the hub and bearing.

Sometimes the bearing comes out with a few taps, sometimes it cost your first-born son.

After you get the bearing out the axle'l slide right out.
