I won't get into the tuning debate, that one's been flogged to death already. However, when it comes to transmissions, I just installed my 545/68RFE hybrid trans from MGH (Mike) at L&M customs. First thing he tells everyone is it need custom tuning, which is obvious given everything he changes, but it just went in today so only time will tell how long it lasts.
I'm doing the trans swap now to work out any bugs and the new power plant goes in at the end of summer.
Last year MGH built my trans too. Still holding on strong. I went up to his shop bc he also built my turbo and got to see first hand all the work that goes into his trans builds....it's pretty extensive.
