Default O2 sensor replacement problem (pics included)

The good news is the fuel filter was a breeze to replace. The bad news is that I ran into a snafu trying to get the bad oxygen sensor out.

My truck is a 2007 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 diesel. The error code indicates sensor 1 bank 1 is bad. I have purchased a new sensor, but can't get the old one out due to some heat fabric that is wrapped and clamped around it. I tried to get the clamps off without destroying them, but it didn't seem possible. Is there anyway to get the sensor out without taking the fabric off? I tried for a half hour and there just doesn't seem to be enough room around the nut for the wrench to grab on. Any advice is much appreciated!

First pic is a view from the bottom. The middle clamp is a little chewed up since I tried to get it off without breaking it.
