^^^^ What he said. My friend has done several sets over the years and I had seen his work knowing it was still very translucent. I was pretty ignorant of how to ask for it done and just trusted him to do a safe level of clear/black mixing. Any type of color will reduce your light output some, but the effects are minimized if done properly with clear/color versus window tint or other methods.
