Absolutely no downside to 3.92 vs 3.55. On paper it sounds good but but fuel economy is a myth. Joe blow getting 1 mpg better than his buddy is totally subjective. The stock tires are 32" or close to it, 3.55 are good for 31" and under. IMO on a 4x4 the factory options should not even include 3.55 at all. 3.92, 4.56. Or 3.73, 4.10, and 4.56.

I've put 1000kms on a tank of fuel in my 3.92 equipped crew with 33" tires. 120 liter tank. So that's 20 mpg already without considering the fuel left in the tank.
