If you have the upgraded audio system, with a sub... Then you will have a sub for More bass. other wise the rear speakers are full range. The front work as a component set crossed over by the stock amplifier. The doors, have a driver that is designed usually for mid bass (80hz - 160Hz) while the dash is the tweeters for that channel. producing everything higher.


That being said, if you replace the door speaker with a full range speaker. it will sound the same as there are no Highs being sent to those speakers. to do so, you would have to locate the amplifier under the dash and cross into the dash leads.

i have confirmed this by checking with multiple audio install shops after mike mc in canada asked me about it.

My 08 Avenger RT with the BA system has the 8" subs, in the front door.
