The trans temp gauge is a good idea. One thing to keep in mind is that with coolers bigger is not always better. A transmission is most efficient/effective when its at proper operating temp. If you throw on a cooler that's too big it wont allow it to reach that temp. Your best bet is to go with a normal stock size trans cooler. The mopar ATF+4 fluid is really good synthetic so you wont have to worry about that.

You wont spend any unnecessary money and will help the truck stay at normal temps.
