My preference would be to install a true dual pipe system all the way through for the least restrictive flow. If you are installing headers with dual cat why not keep it going with dual mufflers and tail pipes?

I have a 5.9L with standard headers and a Flowmaster cat-back single muffler dual pipe system. The sound is OK. When I get down my mods list to the exhaust system, I intend to install a true dual system from the headers back, and will not be using Flowmaster again. I want a throatier, deeper tone.

And I'm not a mechanic, so I don't know how accurate this is, but other members on here have said that the exhaust systems that use baffles are more restrictive than the straight through designs, like say a Borla system. But being that you have the 5.7 Hemi you should have a lot of choices. Manufacturers have been producing great products for the Hemis.
