I checked up on multiple SRT sites before my purchase and a 230 degree temp was about the average across the board. And that is with the factory, synthetic 0W-40 oil and a water cooled oil filter mount. Those guys change the thermostat out and run plate/fin coolers up front to get the temps down to that magical 212 number: Enough to flash off water and plenty of range left for a synthetic oil.

What I'm seeing now is exactly what they average, and it's damn near 100 degrees here in New York ever since the swap. If this isn't stress testing my swap I don't know what is!
