Didn't know they were plastic; didn't research "chrome clad" ... imho, "clad" means wrapped around; not glued to the face of. My experience with chroming something or getting something that's been chrome dipped is to have chromium electroplated onto metal; or atleast until recently I had assumed only onto metal.

Yes, I was disappointed my "chrome rims" were really aluminum with a plastic cover. I do feel that for the price point, I should have received something not so "pretend". However, it's not just chrome-paint on a plastic hubcap glued to an aluminum wheel.

They look good, clean up easy and as someone else already said; they'll make nice winter rims.
