Default Swapping out PCM Computer

Anyone thought of changing the PCM, that way you can run any program you like and no matter what happens to the engine, you just swap the original PCM back in place and no one is wiser. Dodge will have no idea you had a wild tune if you choose to do so because all the fault codes originate in the PCM. I've seen the at used auto parts stores between $100 - $200 for a 2011 used unit. A little assurance against the giant.
