The only reason I use my rear-view mirror is because my backup camera displays on it. My high mounted camera displays on my 8.4 and I use it for hooking up the gooseneck (and occasionally to admire my RetraxPRO tonneau)...so no rear-view mirror usage there either. Of course, with a gooseneck hitched up (or any closed trailer for that matter) the rear-view mirror is pretty much useless. That is why I only use the side mirrors.
Perhaps it would be best for those of you having the "droopage" issues to just learn to use only your side mirrors?
A drooping rear-view mirror is not a "sky is falling" issue, and part of the pre-flight checks should always be to check and adjust mirrors. Consumers do however pay for a truck that is supposed to work from critical component to creature comfort; so, this should be taken seriously and remedied by Chrysler Corp.
