Default Truck spits and lopes

Hey guys wondering if you may be able to help me with my problem.

About two days ago I went to fire my truck up in the morning on the way to work. When I did, it shuddered and was speeding up and down in RPM's (almost like it had a cam in it). After I drove it around for a bit and it warmed up the shaking went away. Five hours later when I started it up again, it had the same symptoms but this time it stayed just over 400 RPM and sounded like it was gonna die, drove it around and went away again. Its almost like it has a dead cylinder but there is no engine light on and it goes away when its hot, any ideas?

Thanks!
