I think they're cool too. However, if I may interject my opinion.

I personally think that the old way contributed to society on a broad scale. Now with all the newer equipment and automated technology, some manufacturers have compromised quality for speed.

I don't claim to be a financial wizard on the aspects of automotive production, but when a city has to destroy 70,000 homes because they're abandoned it makes me think.

Is the cost of retooling, the cost of technologically advanced equipment, and its upkeep really producing a superior product?

It seems counterproductive to automate a factory and lay off the workers, negating their ability and loyalty to a brand, as well as their means of earning enough money to purchase a vehicle they once made.

I say get rid of some of the automation, return hands on employee labor, and increase the workforce. Create jobs and therefore paychecks, and give the average Joe money to spend on a product he has loyalty to, and reinforce the economy.

But that's just my opinion.
