As a former painter and bodyman, I recommend to all reading this that if you DO in fact get the spot repaired, small as it may be, it is imperative that you spot repair and then make sure the whole affected panel is cleared from edge to edge. This means if it was your hood, the whole hood needs cleared.

All too often, hack shops or lot lizard touch up artists will say they can fix it and then "burn" the clear in. 6 months later and that clear coat will be coming right back off, guarantee it.
