Almost all good car alarms automatically come with an immobilizer. The stock Ram is one of those. It will sound an audible alarm as well as honk the horn and flash the lights if the doors are opened without the FOB. It basically does what an aftermarket alarm does. Really good alarms have things like shock sensors, microphones and motion sensors that can be aimed in to the truck bed. If anyone reaches in to the bed to steal anything it sets off the alarm. I know a couple of install places that will take this one step further. A buddy of mine had his Jeep Wrangler set up to give a physical shock to anyone touching any metal part of the vehicle when the alarm was tripped.
