Gosh, you know all the fun places to explore!
Not many people can say they were rescued by a snowcat at the lowest town in America (-223 feet). It is still a recognized census place with about 300 residents. Tourists and photographers go there to get a taste of the post-apocalypse, and several movies have been made in the area. My memory of it was many years ago when we caught whiff of a horrible smell and saw through binoculars a group of transients cooking a bird, feathers and all, on a spit--they must have been very hungry. In a desert full of weird places, this is one of the weirdest.
