I'm sure you've heard people put it in park, let off the brake, and the car rolls a couple inches then stops and you hear a terrible click/clank noise. That's the stress on the parking prawl. One day it won't stop rolling.
I'll take your word for it as I really have no interest in how transmissions work. One would think that it would be designed with the truck's weight in mind.... At any rate if it fails under 100K - I'll let warranty take care of it, after - it's someone else's problem.
