I would say the loss for an automatic is getting better and is between 10% to 15% these days. It used to be considered 20%. Different dynos give different results. Mustang dynos are known for giving low numbers. That doesn't make them wrong.

My Challenger, which is a 5.7 hemi, has exhaust, a custom tune, catch can, and CAI put down 370hp and 410 ft-lbs at the rear wheels. Those numbers seem high to me compared to other people, it was probably a dyno that read a little high.

To answer your questions, I'd say a late model hemi truck would put around 330 hp at the rear wheels.
