Default Towing my Ram from NC to Texas

Hi all,

I am in the process of moving from NC to Central Texas. Unfortunately, I have to make this move happen myself without assistance and on as tight of a budget as possible. I am planning on towing my Ram 1500 behind a 22 foot Penske diesel truck using a tow dolly. Once I leave the mountains here, the trip will be very flat. Penske does not recommend that you tow anything more than 4300lbs on their tow dolly. I know my Ram weighs about 5600 with a hitch and everything. Uhaul and Penske do not have a trailer big enough to support the weight or length of my Ram.

I feel confident however that this big Penske truck would have no trouble pulling my ram. I am just concerned about the dolly itself since the vast majority of the weight is on the front. I wanted to see if anyone here has a recommendation about what to do. I can't afford to ship my truck either, and driving it won't be an option at the moment.

Thanks!
