I just went and looked at an '04 we have in the shop and if your rear defrost is on relay #68 then we're in business. The relay control is tied into the mirrors already and all you should need to do it obtain a relay and splice into the DB/WT wire, hook that to one side of the grid and ground the other. I have a feeling that since you didnt find any wiring for the grid already in place, that it leaves the relay and terminates at C136. You shouldn't need to worry with a fuse either if fuse 26 supplies power to the 30 terminal.
