Default I know, it's been discussed before, BUT...

Just bought me a 2003 Ram 2500 w/ 5.7 HEMI. 153k miles. Trucks in great shape for 10 years old. Anyway, I searched the previous posts and can't find a good answer. Truck has a P0441 and P0522 with the key dance. 0522 is oil pressure sender, I got that. 0441 has to do with the LPD, I got that too. The thing I'm wondering is, does this issue affect fuel mileage like I'm thinking. 5 MPG? I have the original window sticker too and it doesn't say what the MPG would have been. After researching, I came up with 13 city and 17 highway. Sound about right? Also, I got under the truck and took a look at the hoses to the LDP. The look good for 10 years. Here's another question. What is the item pictured in the red box? It was moist, like there was some seeping going on. Anyway, thanks in advance. I really love the truck. My first one actually. Will come in handy with deer hunting. I just hope I didn't make a big mistake purchasing it. Dealer I bought it from did say they would take care of it. Right. LOL! But in the mean time, it's costing me money. Getting about 11.4 average MPG. That's diesel mileage right there.
