I know what you mean about easy math. I use to change oil based on average speed multiplied by the square root of the sum of rear wheel torque and ambient temperature divided by the days of the month squared times a number I dreamed up multiplied by engine oil capacity divided by max horsepower cubed minus pi.
Now I just go by the oil indicator thingy.
