You can go with a wider wheel. You just need to get the correct offset to compensate for the extra width. If you plan on using the stock tires then you won't need much of a chance in offset if any.... If you want wider tires in the future you'll need a more negative offset. Stock offset is +19mm.

I'm not running them yet but in the future I plan on black/chrome BMF Novakane's on my 3500. I'm not sure if they make a 5 lug wheel though... If they do it will have less spokes. It's also more of an offroad looking wheel than a lowered truck look.
