James, although I can offer certain advice from personal experience, if you are looking for complete, in-depth advice on detailing, waxing, and overall protection, look for the great and immensely informative threads from our brother and forum member "primo spaghetti". He is our collectively agreed upon "guru" of all things on this matter. His word is gospel, IMO.
