Ya that's pretty much the main thing keeping the thought of swapping the turbo out of my head. I don't want to lose the factory exhaust brake. It just works so nicely and is awesome to have.

It's not really an air pump sound... it's almost a whistle. When you're going down a hill and let off you should hear that slight whistle sound and it should be holding the truck back fairly well. Especially if the RPM's are higher (at least 2000 or more).
