The most important thing is do not run the motor at a constant speed for the first 1000 miles. Stay off the interstate at 70 MPH for hours on end and get some hard acceleration on it after 500 miles. Not all the time but a little here and there. The break in oil is due to be gotten out at 1000 to 2000 miles. These new motors are allot better as far as shedding wear in materials. Place a earth magnet on the bottom of your oil filter to trap the tiny particles. Get your Valvoline out at around 3000 miles and go to a Full AMSOIL job on the rest of the truck at 10,000 miles. This will allow the rear diff and front transfer cases to break in and shed their wear materials. Change the tranny fluid and filters to AMSOIL at no later then 15,000. If you tow heavy and often do it at 10,000. So by 15,000 miles you should have the entire truck on AMSOIL Oil and Filters..... Boost
