Clay bar'ing a car/truck is very easy and very effective. I used the Meguiars kit, available at most any auto store.

Ya really don't need any fancy 'holder' for the clay, your hand will work just fine and it will conform the clay to uneven surfaces.

If you follow the instructions and keep your work-surface damp, it's virtually effortless to move the clay back and forth,,, super easy!!!

Inspect your clay every now and then to see how much 'scud' it picks up from your paint, and 'knead' to obtain a clean surface as required.

As long as you follow the (very simple) instructions that come with the kit, I don't know that it's possible to 'screw it up',,,,

If your paint is already 100% silky smooth now,,, eh,,, you may not notice a HUGE improvement,,,

If you can feel any 'rough stuff' in your paint, the 'bar' really does wonders!
