Default

just my opinion
when the engine is idling & the transmission is in either park or neutral, nothing is moving in the transmission, not even fluid, except for a maybe a quart slowly leaving the converter & draining back into the transmissions housing, as soon as it put in gear, the pump kicks in & the converter is refilled almost before your hand leaves the shifter

the only thing that you have to be concerned about is the engines temperature at IDLE, if it starts to heat up beyond normal operating range, then you have to run it at a higher idle to get it to cool back down

when you think about the transmission being in Park, the only thing engaged is the parking pawl its function is a hill holder, so it can't roll
in Neutral a strong gust of wind could move the vehicle backwards or forwards, because Nothing is moving in the tranny to stop it
