I'm going to be pulling a 5th wheel trailer that is about 6600 lbs. dry. I have the towing package on my truck but it has 3.55 rear end gears. The change to 3.92 gears would keep the truck more in the power range towing and would be easier on the drive train. Down side is it would more than likely use more fuel. I am going to try towing with what I have first as the cost to change gears makes me ill!
