Yes you can get rid of it. What you need is a finer polish to follow up the Ultimate Compound. You also might need a finishing pad. I don't know which pad you are using, so if you could post a pic that would help a lot. In trying to think of good OTC finishing polishes, I'm drawing a blank. Are there any autobody/paint supply stores around? I'm sure they would have a good product I'm familiar with. Don't buy Turtle Wax/Zymol/other crap OTC "polishes" because they aren't actually abrasive polishes. They are waxes or sealants, and labeled as "polishes" because most people don't really know what polishes really are. Meguiars products are the exception. Let me know if you can find a good auto body/paint supply store anywhere around and I see if I can find out what products they stock.
