Default door panel removal tutorial

I know its simple but since I did it today on all my doors to paint the handles I figured I would take some shots and share with you all!

First take the screws out of the edges of the door panel, they are torx screws into a body clip. Then remove the screw that holds the plate behind the door handle on ( there is a screw cover that pry's off to reveal the screw). Once all these are off pry the panel outward where each of the torx screws had been, be warned the body clips come sprining out so put a finger on them or they fly away The red dots in the below shot show the locations, front doors have one extra screw on the bottom.

Next pry the cover behind the door handle off gently. You can also pull the switch plates out by prying where the plastic meets the door panel material. You could leave them on but I found it easier to disconnect the wire this way than waiting untill I pulled the panel off.

You should now be ready to remove the panel. Lift up on the panel and pull it out. There is a trim piece on the top coming down the post that simply prys off. The rear stays on the door but the one on the front door can come off completly or stay on on the panel once its gently pried.

If you choose not to remove the switch plate from the panel be warned the wires are held in place by a clip. Remove the wires from this clip and its much easier to unhook them from the switch.

And now you should have the panel off for whatever your need is!

Hope this helps someone, Ill post pics of the painted door handles when they are done and wet sanded, may be a week or two though.
