I wouldn't recommend it . It's just better to man up , bit the bullet and fix it correctly . While your there do your heater core also . This generation Ram was notorious for leaking heater cores and evaporators . I've replaced the heater core in mine already and now I believe I have a leaking evaporator . When I do the evaporator , I will replace the core again . If your mecnanically challenged I would recommend finding someone who has done dash work and not afraid to tackle this . It's alot of work and you want to make sure whoever does it does a good job for ya . Another thing that will be a concern will be the dash itself . Again with this generation Ram , The dashes are prone to crack and fall apart . So be prepared .
