So here is my question.........
The factory tranny lines run straight to the auxillary cooler, and back to the tranny.
They completly bypass the radiator. (the factory tranny cooler is a monster)

Is this normal? Every other thread i can find only talks about the lines going through the radiator at some point.....

Please help shed some light!!!!
Recently replaced the radiator in my '01 1500 (5.2 engine). Was surprised to find the same thing you did - transmission lines don't go to the radiator, only to a separate cooler.
Sure made the radiator installation a snap!

BTW, I don't know the history on my truck, but it's current mileage is 231K and the transmission is workin' fine. Then again, I drive like an adult.
