well in that case that actually sounds like a fair deal!! after shipping cost and border fees it gets very expensive to get a kit up here, i wouldn't be surprised if the kit cost $2500 if you got it yourself

My dad is a heavy duty mechanic and has alot of pull at his local parts supplier and the best he could do on a BDS kit for my 2005 1500 4x4 was $2300 taxes in, this is with a hefty discount! plus labour being at $100 an hour sounds about right, especially since you have no prior dealings with the business there less likely to "cut you a deal" but still shop around and check out prices else where just so you can compare!
