Keep it on. I don't use mine for hauling much so have not had an issue there. If you also remember the Mythbusters episode where they tested the best mpg by having the tailgate up or down; their tests showed that with the gate up a pocket of air developed in the bed thereby pushing the air coming over the cab right over the top of the tailgate. This air would run smack into the spoiler creating downforce. Therefore I think that this spoiler does some good at higher rates of speed.

Again, it's all in how you use your truck.
