Default Old Man story

Dog,....That was a good story. It all comes down to being treated the way you would want to be treated. We Military people look at the older
soldiers, sailors and marines, air force and coast guard as well, who once served when it was their time. It seems every generation has a 10-15% portion of that group join the military in some manner. Full time, part time,
active and reserve. The training changes but the American GI overall will never stop being anything but an outstanding troop! He'll go where he has to go, get the job done as best he can and all the while,..bitch like GIs have been doing for centurys. Today's military man and woman are more technically oriented and have the best hand and eye coordination of any
generation. They've lost some of their upper body strength but have gained in dexterity by leaps and bounds. They make unbelieveable pilots both fixed wing and rotory. They don't get in unless they can pass a
rigid written test,..the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery,.. and of course
a trip to basic. Background checks are stringent and the physical is no slouch either. The new Troops are just "Reflections of Us folks". Their just younger. But they are our Old Selves. The bitching is the same. The equiptment is high tech,..the orders are just as verbal and some of the missions can get you killed. I love these troops and what they stand for.
And I love the American way of life! (by the way, there is no such thing as an ex-Marine) lol
